What’s the difference between your finely, thick cut and regular shredded cheese?
Crystal Farms offers our portfolio of cheese flavors in three shred sizes for your ideal sprinkling, topping, and melting experience. Our finely shredded cheese is a delicate thin cut suitable for salads and lighter coverage. Thick cut shreds are extra rich, allowing luxurious topping and melting on your favorite foods. Our regular shredded cheese is a traditional medium size shred ready for your next dish.
What makes cheese sharp?
As cheese ages, natural components of fats and proteins transform within the cheese to become more aromatic and flavorful. With more age, cheese will naturally present sharper flavors.
Can you freeze your bagels or English Muffins?
We recommend refrigerated storage for optimal freshness.
What’s the difference between Swiss and baby Swiss?
Swiss and Baby Swiss cheeses differ based on age, which impacts the texture and flavor you may experience. Both show characteristic “eyes” (small holes naturally developed during aging) and a smooth, creamy texture. Swiss must be aged a minimum of 60 days and develops a nuttier flavor and firmer texture. Baby Swiss is typically younger in age and shows related milder flavor and creamier texture. Baby Swiss may also show smaller eyes, related to shorter aging time.
Why does your cup cream cheese say not for baking?
Our cup cream cheeses are made to be spreadable right out of the refrigerator. They are best enjoyed spread on your favorite bagels or crackers. For best results, use our bar cream cheese for baking and dips.
Why are your bagels refrigerated?
Our recipes are designed to make bagels that stay soft and most fresh when stored in the refrigerator. Room temperature storage is not recommended, and thus may result in product which is not fresh through the date on the package.
Why are your English Muffins refrigerated?
Our English Muffins recipes are designed to maintain the best texture and stay fresh longer when stored in refrigeration.
What makes your spreadable butter spreadable?
We add a touch of canola oil to soften our spreadable butter so it spreads easily directly out of the refrigerator.
